EUROPEAN SESSION
In the European session, we don’t have much on the agenda other than a couple of low-tier releases like the French trade balance and the US NFIB Small Business Optimism index. The data is not going to change anything for the respective central banks, so the market reaction will be muted.
AMERICAN SESSION
In the American session, we only have the weekly ADP jobs data and the NY Fed consumer inflation expectations survey. The data won’t change anything for the Fed, so the market reaction will be muted.
As a reminder, the Fed is focused solely on inflation now, and the US CPI report on Friday will decide whether the central bank hikes at the upcoming meeting or keeps rates steady for at least another month. The US CPI is the main event of this week (barring a surprising breakthrough in US-Iran relations).
